My daughter, Rebecca's, wedding

I'm finally getting a chance to blog about one of the biggest days I can recall in my life - the recent wedding of my daughter, Rebecca Cunningham, to Raymond Desfosse. The event took place last Saturday, 2/20/10, and was a day we'll always remember. The wedding went beautifully and I was proud as punch of my daughter. She really made a stunning bride and she never stopped smiling the whole day. It was wonderful to see her so very happy. And Raymond, too - he had a huge smile that never quit.

My mom and I had a chance to meet more of Ray's family, which was certainly a pleasure. They're a great bunch of people and I know will be wonderful in-laws for Rebecca. And what a wonderful occasion to welcome Ray into our family.















These are just some snapshots of the day. Professional photos aren't ready yet. But I wanted to share our family's happy occasion with all of you.




It surely was an emotional day for this mom. But I held off the silly tears until I got home after the wedding. There was no way I could cry - even happy tears - in front of those beaming faces of the happy couple.



May all go well for them in the years ahead and may their happiness continue every day for the rest of their lives. Congratulations, Rebecca and Raymond!

Rebecca's graduation from Boston U

My daughter Rebecca will be graduating from Boston University tomorrow and I couldn't be more proud of her. She's graduating at the top of her class - summa cum laude - which is the highest honor the college awards. Financially it's been a long haul and Rebecca's worked two jobs to get through. But she never wavered in her determination to finish college. She went to several colleges, including Fairleigh Dickinson and College of New Jersey - and finally, due to work restraints, she ended up finishing her degree by taking online courses from Boston University. She's thinking of continuing on to law school but will have to do some serious thinking about it because it will take her another four years going part time and continuing tuition payments. But with her background as a paralegal and her top ranking at Boston U, she may be able to get enough scholarships to see her way through.

But whatever she finally ends up doing with her degree, I'm sure she'll make good use of it. I couldn't be more proud! Here are a couple of photos of Rebecca with her boyfriend Justin.
