Reclaimed to Fame on Amazon!

As many of you know, I manage a market at 1000 Markets called Reclaimed to Fame. All of the merchants in the market are artisans designing products using recycled materials. About a month ago, I contacted Matt Triforo, the CEO of 1000 Markets and asked if he would be interested in doing some type of promotion for Earth Day on behalf of our market. Well, one thing led to another and he hooked us up with Amazon for their Earth Day promotion. He told me that Amazon is very fussy about any artwork submitted to them and we might go through a lot of work setting it up and not have Amazon accept us in the end.

I contacted my merchants, because I'm terrible at designing banners, working with images, etc. and knew I needed help and Brinda Hammel of Brinda Kay Designs offered to design an Earth Day banner for our market and do the product image work needed. I set up a special collection in the market offering free shipping until the end of April. And 1000 Markets submitted everything to Amazon.

And this week we were thrilled to see the above email promotion go out from Amazon! Apparently, this went to 250,000-500,000 customers so what a wonderful way to publicize our market. The link to our market is in the right top corner and it takes you right to our Earth Day collection.

Very exciting! Thank you 1000 Markets and Amazon for this wonderful opportunity. The promotion offering free shipping in celebration of Earth Day runs until the end of April, 2010 so stop on by and check out our talented merchants!
