Valentine's Day is just around the corner

I think this is the first year since I started this blog that I haven't posted at Christmas and New Year's. Having lost my sweet Patches so suddenly the beginning of December, I just couldn't find it in my heart to be merry and bright. I do hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and wish you all a healthy, happy and prosperous year ahead in 2010.

The stores are now full of boxes of Valentine's candy and red heart decorations abound. I know I like to get a head start on holidays myself and start thinking of gift ideas well in advance. I had several people contact me a few days before Christmas asking if I could get jewelry to them in time - one was in Australia!
